RATIFICATION UPDATE
June 14, 2022
Whitby, ON – On Saturday June 4, 2022, a Revised Tentative Agreement was reached in Sheet Metal ICI Bargaining. Ratification votes were held throughout Ontario during the week of June 5 to June 12, 2022. On June 14, 2022, the Ontario Conference and your Sheet Metal Workers’ Negotiation Team counted the ratification ballots.
After a fully verified ballot count it was found that over 70% of members who voted supported ratification of the Revised Tentative Agreement.
The Tentative Agreement has been ratified and the ICI Sheet Metal Collective Agreement has been renewed for May 1, 2022, through April 30, 2025.
The Ontario Conference and your local unions remind you that all negotiated monetary increases on the wage package are retroactive to Sunday May 15, 2022. All members should be getting a retroactive payment for all weeks retroactive to May 15, 2022, in the coming weeks.
